Mueller Environmental Designs, Inc., is a Texas-based manufacturer of mist elimination, noise abatement, and gas separation equipment for the natural gas industry across North America. The company designs and builds all its equipment in the United States. Among Mueller Environmental's extensive lineup of products is the BDSS Blow-Down Separator/Silencer.
The Mueller Model BDSS BlowDown Separator brings together dissipative acoustic and absorptive functions to lessen the venting noise from high-pressure gas or steam while eliminating entrained liquids associated with these systems. The silencer features a cylindrical configuration with a double-walled design and liquid traps to effectively drain gas stream fluids through gravity. The construction of the BDSS separator also equips it to achieve high attenuation properties while enabling low-pressure drop.
The system is also relatively easy to install, accommodates up to 1200 PSIG of pressure, and requires little maintenance since it has no moving parts. Its solid construction means the BDSS BlowDown Separator can withstand the stresses associated with high-pressure venting.
